My journey to becoming a health coach!!
I got divorced in 2019… Two weeks before my 28th birthday. We had been married just shy of nine years. It was a dysfunctional marriage from the start. We were both very young when we got married – ages 19 and 20. We were madly in love, and clueless as to how to actually have a healthy and functioning relationship. It was incredibly codependent, and it only got worse as time went on, as he went on to have multiple extramarital affairs. I completely lost myself in an attempt to save our marriage, and after much counseling and prayers, I woke up one day, and knew what I had to do in order to save myself. I do not say that lightly… I know that God was with me through every step of the way. Sometimes, when we ask God to save us… He doesn’t do it in the miraculous way that we hope for… He does it by giving us the strength to rescue ourselves. During that time, I prayed and asked God to use me to bring hope to others, who might be walking out a story that was similar to mine.
I filed for divorce in March 2019 and by June it was finalized. Our house sold in two days in May. It was nothing short of a miracle! The four kids and myself moved into my parents camper where we lived for 13 months as I attempted to get on my feet financially, so I could provide a home for my precious kiddos. We moved into our own home June 2020 in the middle of the chaos that was Covid.
I continued to grow my cleaning business until I was working two days a week… The money was nothing to sneeze at, but I definitely did not feel like that was God’s calling on my life.
I have the pleasure of talking to a dear friend of mine, who is also a single mom of four. She was in the process of becoming a life coach, and she asked me a very important question… Was cleaning houses, something that I saw myself doing for the rest of my life? She asked if I had ever considered becoming a coach? Up to that point I had never considered it. The thought of going back to school was terrifying for me, but I also knew that something had to change. I started researching coaching schools, and my best friend told me about one she had looked into several years before… I’ve researched them and quickly fell in love with everything they had to offer. It was honestly the easiest decision I have made in my life. Without hesitation, I immediately enrolled in IIN. I can easily say that it has been one of the best decisions that I have made. I have learned so much, and it has also helped solidify a lot of the knowledge that I had prior to attending IIN. I have been researching holistic health ever since I became a mom.

I am just getting this business started and I am SO excited to see what God does. If I can bring hope to just ONE person, then it will have been an answer to prayer. 🤍
